soho in ottakring is an independent, organized-by-artists art-festival in the 16^th Viennese district, Ottakring. Due to the areas multicultural and multiethnical population it sets a strong focus on the issues of migration, integration and participation.

Since 2002 I am responsible for the design of the festivals website. In the beginning it was more or less a simple listing of all projects, events and artists. Due to the festivals comprehensive program and also its general emphasis on issues of participation and integration I began to develop a content management together with programmers that allows every single participant to documentate projects, announce events and establish new projects with any other festival participants. The development is not finished yet and the site has some weak points, but it certainly is a powerful tool for documentation, also for people who do not have the technical abilities to build their own website.

This years festival will start at the 22^nd of may and will go to the 5^th of june. In order to strengthen sustainability and also to give the organizers a little brake in their sometimes exhausting work this years program has been reduced to discussion-site called "living room-soho". Next years festival will take place in its usual extent again.
